The Lakes & Ponds in Barnstable need our support!

We are creating an all-volunteer, citizen-science collective to protect and improve Barnstable's fresh water. We strive to accomplish as much as possible, as fast as possible, in conjunction or support of the work being done today. This summer will be our second season of Cyanobacteria Sampling. Building an organization focused on science, education, advocacy, and collaboration takes a wide range of skills.Our guiding philosophy is to enjoy the work we do, the company of those we work with, and the efforts we share.

In addition to our Sampling Team, we're looking for volunteers in these areas: ​​​

• Grant Writers – Help us secure critical funding already available.

• Content Writers – Turn complex science into clear, engaging information for the community.

• Communications Specialists – Support outreach through newsletters, social media, advocacy, and more.
